Dear Brothers and Sisters, We, the Cherish Foundation Staff and children send our sincerest appreciation to all our partners in Christ. It is with your support the children are growing and assure you that all the necessary steps shall be taken that they will continue to grow in the light of our Lord and Savior and His Word, serving as examples of God's Grace and Mercy. - 6 of our children (Ilesh, Mallesh, Kalyani, Shailaja, Sudha, Radha) have completed the 9th grade studies including their Annual Exams. and have entered into the 10th standard, the final academic year. Ravi Teja & Lilly Pushpa, currently in 10th grade, are preparing for their final examinations. For the remaining children the overall half yearly results were good, most of them with above average grades and we remain thankful to God for this. We did observe that for some of the children there are challenges that we believe will be best met by providing them with some focused individual tutoring. - Other news includes On 26th January we celebrated the Republic Day at Cherish with lot of joy. We had flag hoisting on that day. Gideon and Sudha celebrated their Happy Birthdays in the month of January. As we watch our children grow we wonder at the power of God's Great Love. We need your prayers as we attempt to get Birth Certificates for Cherish children. It is a difficult thing to get as almost every child comes from a different village, in case of some children, we don't even know where and when they were born. Please pray for us as we struggle to achieve this tough task. We continue to pray for the supply of computers. The children require access to them to complete their assignments as they study Information Technology. Please remember our need for electrical wiring work at the orphanage, as mentioned in last month's report. Also I request you please to pray for sufficient staff at Cherish Home, like Wardens, Driver, Tutor and Office Assistant. We at Cherish are able to do God's work through His grace and your generosity. We thank you very much and wish you a safe and healthy month. Respectfully, David Subramanyam |
